Born in
Rovigno, D'Istria, Italy, John moved to California at the age of
11, where he went to college, and continues to live today. After
several years as a commercial artist and freelance illustrator, John Budicin
took the opportunity to pursue his dream of becoming a plein air artist when his
employer moved out of state. John loves to paint directly from nature so
he paints outdoors almost every day. John paints many of his paintings
close to his home in San Bernardino, California.
John is not only a dedicated painter but also spends several weeks each year
teaching workshops all around the US. John also taught a workshop in
Umbria and Tuscany, Italy.
John has also written several articles for art publications.
